    Superb

Location was perfect, we liked the design of the Hotel, the restaurant attached was also very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good choice.

Room and bathroom were on the small side. Breakfast - it would have been nice to have offered some hot food, eggs/bacon etc as the weather was cold.

Valets and desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient. Loved the ambiance, particularly, enjoyed the relaxing music and location for breakfast. Also, we enjoyed the wine and cheese in the afternoon. We always felt like we were coming home after a long day of trips and sightseeing. The cleaning staff did a great job. Our room was always so clean and neat. We also appreciated the historical aspect of the Marshall House. We really appreciated the displays, artwork, and nice decor.

Lack of view. We do, however, realize that this is beyond your control.

The entire experience was wonderful, I am looking forward to returning to Savannah and staying at The Marshall House agin.

The wi-fi is very weak in the rooms, but strong downstairs in the lobby. They need to fix that issue, which is the only issue with the hotel. This can be remedied however, if you take a t-1 connection for your laptop, as there is a hookup in the room, I did not have one with me though as most places now days rely exclusively on wi-fi.

    Fabulous

Uncomfortable bed, the floor in our room serverely slanted to one side of the room and the shower was clogged.

    Superb

We really liked the consistent courtesy and professionalism of the staff. The location was really very convenient and central in Savannah. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable and pleasant. The wine-and-cheese hour every evening is a gracious touch, as is the bed-sheet turn-down service with robes. Overall, a great value.

The place did seem a little worn around the edges. And the continental breakfast tasted cheap: canned fruit, cheap bread, thawed quiche, and weak coffee.

    Fabulous

Great atmosphere, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

My only concern was the softness of the matress. It was too soft for my back which was stiff for some days after my stay, and for an 8 hour flight....

Was a little noisy, can hear people walking/ talking in hallway and people knocking on doors.

This was the perfect hotel when staying in Savannah. The front desk staff and concierge were extremely knowledgable about the area and recommended wonderful restaurants all in walking distance of the hotel. It is centrally located in historical Savannah so you don't need to use a car. Walking the city is easy and the front desk provides maps for you each time you request a restaurant, event, venue, house, etc. So easy to follow and they were really patient in explaining where we should go and see. If you have to use transportation, the dos bus stops on the corner of the hotel and the bus is free and covers all points in Savannah so you just have to hop on and go. The beds and pillows at the Marshall Hotel were amazing. We had a room with 2 queen size beds and the room was huge. The beds were the best for sleeping and the pillows were all down. Really first class! Our bathroom was large with a very large walk in shower. All the rooms are different here so ask before you book. The hotel is known to be haunted and we experienced 2 different occasions. Once, there were footsteps out in the hall, but upon investigating the footsteps at 4:30 A.M., there was no one in the hall. The following night, there was a strong smell in our room from sulfur as if a match had been struck. The hotel is smoke free. Upon investigating the smell which also occurred at 4:00 A.M., we were told that it probably was the smell of gun powder. It was fascinating!!! The hotel used to be a hospital for Union soldiers. I recommend this hotel for it's upscale persona, it's wonderful breakfast each morning, and it's great location. You couldn't ask for better - and it comes with ghosts!!!

There wasn't anything about the hotel or its staff that was displeasing. The whole experience was great!
